Viva Las Vegas – Open For Business!
I can't wait to get on a plane to Las Vegas Nevada!
Well, Las Vegas is operating “basically as normal” – and I can now travel freely from my own country to Las Vegas in the USA and back with minimal issues.
Back in October I wrote about Las Vegas opening again for business – e.g. to international tourists like myself. The only problem at that time is that whilst Las Vegas opened its arms for arrivals, other countries (including my own) didn’t open up equally well in return – meaning that flights back into home would require mandatory quarantine facility stays.
It’s great that the Omicron peak has now passed in many countries, resulting in them eliminating many quarantine rules, restrictions, and facilities – and meaning that perhaps for the first time since Covid arrived that things can truly get “back to normal”. In my own country the peak passed several weeks ago, and we’ve now largely eliminated the need for vaccine passes to get into businesses, gathering restrictions (allowing entertainment to restart), and masks (although these are still considered to be good practice in any indoor setting with multiple people).
So, what does this mean? Well, Las Vegas is operating “basically as normal” – and I can now travel freely from my own country to Las Vegas in the USA and back with minimal issues. USA still requires (at time of writing) a PCR Covid Test before you can fly, but apart from that there’s no other real hurdles to setting foot in America once again. Flights are still a little expensive but these will adjust over time as more and more airlines restart their services.
I expect to fly back to Las Vegas later this year – I’ll give you plenty of warning – and will provide a whole range of Las Vegas related content and videos when I’m there (as I’ve done on some previous trips). So exciting – viva Las Vegas!
