Las Vegas Wildfire Casino Review (2014)
Situated just across the street from Barley’s Casino in Henderson Nevada (on the outskirts of Las Vegas) is the Wildfire Casino, another rather small casino establishment catering to locals. Unlike its neighbour, the Wildfire casino has a dark interior, from the furnishings to the lighting. Dark is not necessarily bad however.
There are no casino table games here at all, but the slot machine floor is vast and neatly organised by themes. The Wildfire Casino also has a lot of the older slot machines, which some players clearly enjoy. They have new games too, including the Willy Wonka slot machine game. When I played it, it didn’t seem to have a great payout percentage to me, and I had to put in about $40 just to get $5 back, which I felt was a real turn off as far as slot machines go in Vegas. Of course, it may have just been my bad luck on the day.
The Wildfire Casino Henderson sports book offers a comfortable seating area, with several large LCD TV screens. There’s a bar nearby that offers up some refreshments, which is just perfect if you’re sweating whilst watching your favourite sports team play, and wondering how much money you will win on your bet.
Wildfire Casino is part of the Station Casino properties. Their casino players card is available here and is good at all of the Station Casino sites, and it offers the same perks as any of the other locations. One perk that is special to this location currently is the Senior Mondays. Casino patrons aged 50 and older can get 20% off their dining, and can be entered into free daily drawings to win $250 in slot play.
The Wild Grill is the Wildfire restaurant, which offers competitive pricing for the quality of food available, especially for their burgers that come with half pound patties. Chicken lovers are well catered for too – the traditional chicken wings are rather delightful and come in a variety of sizes and flavours. One other thing they have is deep fried Twinkies. This sounds vile – but these are really delicious. Deep fried Twinkies can be found across Las Vegas, especially in the downtown area.
The Wildfire casino has a range of ten pin bowling lanes, making them fairly unique in this area. Catering mostly to professional bowling leagues, the 18 ten pin bowling lanes are open to the general public after league hours, and there is an adjacent bar. Cosmic bowling with neon is available for kids in school. If you’re in town and looking to host a party, Wildfire Lanes also offers three different party packages, for birthday parties, bachelor parties, and even meetings. There’s even karaoke here on Friday and Saturday nights. It’s popular, but not as popular as the karaoke which happens at the Ellis Island casino in Las Vegas.
Whilst this Henderson (Las Vegas outskirts) Wildfire Casino is relatively small, and located deep in the locals area, it’s still worth checking out if you find yourself heading to a mall or visiting family that may live on that side of town. If Henderson is not convenient for you, there are four other Wildfire Casino locations you can visit, spread out through the Las Vegas valley.
