Barley’s Casino in Las Vegas is cool in its own way. Just like the Ellis Island casino in central Las Vegas, Barley’s casinos brew their own beer. However, Barley’s brew a larger variety of flavors, and each beer brew is named after something in and around Las Vegas or Northern Nevada. There are several Barley’s casinos in Las Vegas.

The Henderson Barley’s casino can be found to the south east of the Las Vegas strip, not too far away from the big Green Valley Ranch casino. Whilst this Barley’s casino property is small, it does have one distinguished feature: it is light colored and seems brighter than other casinos you may come across. When you walk into any other casino in town (Las Vegas, or Henderson areas) you just know to expect dim lighting and dark colored furniture. Barley’s has light colored wood fixtures and a hardwood floor, which is something that you won’t find in other casinos.

The casino slot machine area is very inviting. The slot area is set up with plenty of walking space, however back towards the bathrooms it does get a little cramped in that area. They have a lot of older slot machines, so this is a great place for a retro slot machine fix if you need one. They have some newer slot machines, but not as many as a lot of other casinos. Whether slot machines are new or old, they’re just as much fun to play. Put your $20 into the slot machine, spin it, and hope for the best!

There are NO casino table games here, so don’t bother visiting if you just want to play blackjack of baccarat. There is a big Race and Sports book, which is much brighter than your typical sports book, and offers some great betting opportunities. There is a relaxing lounge nearby that you can sit in. Grab one of Barley’s great brewed-on-the-premises beers, or your choice of spirits, and watch live sports games while betting on your favourite sports team. Barley’s Henderson casino has a nice little café called the Brewer’s Cafe that serves dinner until about 10pm, sometimes 9pm, depending on the night of the week. They feature a variety of food items from fried shrimp, right through to chicken parmigiana. Just down the walking path from the Brewer’s Cafe is the Brickhaus Pizza kitchen that runs on almost the same time schedule as Brewer’s. This pizza kitchen is not a sit down restaurant, and caters only for take out pizza orders. You can however sit and enjoy your pizza in the lounge, the race and sports book, or at the slot machines.
