Top Casinos in Macau 2022

Macau - The Gambling Capital of the World - and it's an amazing place to visit!

Macau is China’s capital of gambling. Last year, Macau made $57 billion dollars in revenue, against Las Vegas’s $6.5 billion dollars – so it’s fair to say that Macau is fast becoming the gambling mecca of the whole world. If you’re going to visit Macau, there are many casinos – but 5 that I quite like.

Galaxy Casino, Macau
The Galaxy Casino has a diamond show in the casino that is worth watching. It only goes for a few minutes but the basic effect is a water wall that appears with nothing behind it, then when the wall comes down a massive diamond is there, and then the show does the same in reverse. The diamond show is completely free to watch.

The Parisian Casino, Macau
This casino is based upon the Paris casino in Las Vegas, and of course on the beautiful city of Paris, France. You’re in Macau but when you’re inside this casino you’ll feel like you are in Paris. The Parisian Casino opened in 2016. The Eiffel Tower is about half the size of the original in Paris. Every 15 minutes or so there is a free light and sound show on the Eiffel Tower that is worth watching. Good views of the higher decks can be found on the 7th or 37th floors.

The Venetian Casino, Macau
The Venetian Casino is also based upon The Venetian casino in Las Vegas, and the beautiful city of Venice in Italy. It’s an amazing space, with a fantastic shopping centre of 4 or 5 floors. This shopping centre has a fake lake in the middle, and gondolas galore too. You can take rides on the gondola, just like you can in Las Vegas, but obviously these have charges attached. It’s a beautiful casino property, and well worth visiting.

The Wynn Palace Casino, Macau
The Wynn Palace is based on the Wynn Casino in Las Vegas, although this Macau property is even more amazing and elegant. Built to attract high rollers it has extremely high levels of service, and amazing amenities. There’s every a cable car at the front of the Wynn Palace that will take you around the lake – and it’s free. Casino gaming is never free in the long term of course – although it’s possible you could win or lose on your visit.

The Grand Lisboa Casino, Macau
The Grand Lisboa is one of the original Macau casinos that Stanley Ho created years ago, and it retains it’s very special place in the hearts of many here. It’s a truly beautiful building and it looks like a lotus flower. The casino was opened in 2007, and the building has a height of 258 meters.

The casino here is huge with 4 or 5 floors of action. The ceiling and inner decor is amazing. There are great restaurants on site here too.

Macau Has Other (Non-Casino) Attractions
Macau is well worth a visit, with over 40 casinos open for business. There’s plenty to discover, regardless of which country you’ve come from. Accessible via hydrofoil from Hong Kong, it’s an easy destination to get to. Being in Asia you’re typically not more than around 13 hours flight time to reach Macau, from anywhere in the world. Other worthy Macau casinos include MGM Macau, Sands Macau, and The Londoner Casino Macau (where you can take a London Taxi ride with a virtual David Beckham).

Outside of the casinos, Macau has beautiful tiny streets to walk with colourful tiny houses, and a lot of cultural icons to view too. Always play responsibly with gambling, and within your limits. You’re bound to have a great time in Macau and it’s somewhere I highly recommend for vacations.
