Play Craps and Win Big at EU Casino
Playing craps is easier than it looks – and you can make thousands of dollars relatively easily if you place the right bets on this game. Craps is played with two dice and the aim of the game is to predict the outcome of the roll of the dice. There are many types of bets that can be placed, some that are resolved with a single roll of the dice and others that require multiple rolls.
The game starts with the player placing either a Pass Line Bet or Don’t Pass Line Bet and then rolling the dice. This initial roll is called the Come Out Roll. All payouts and Buy/Lay bet commissions are rounded to the nearest cent. For example, a payout of 12.125 will be rounded to 12.13.
The “Come Out” roll is the first roll in a Craps round. A “Point” is set when the dice total is 4, 5, 6, 8, 9 or 10. A total of 2, 3, 7, 11, or 12 on the “Come Out” roll will end the round. When the Point has been established, an “ON” chip will be placed on the Craps table over the box for the number rolled as the Point (4, 5, six, 8, nine, or 10). After the Point is established, the dice must be rolled again until the same Point is rolled again, or a 7 is rolled.
There are various craps bets that you can place on the EUCasino craps table, which are explained in detail below.
Pass Line Bets
Pass Line Bets are placed on the pass line before the Come Out roll. If a 7 or an 11 is rolled, you win. If a 2, 3, or 12 is rolled, it is “Craps” and you lose the round. Any other number such as: 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, or 10 becomes the point. If the point is rolled before a 7, you will win the pass line bet. Alternatively if a 7 is rolled before the point, you will lose the pass line bet. Pass Line bets odds pay 1:1.
Once the Point has been established, unresolved Pass Line Bets may not be removed or reduced. If you choose to close the game before the Pass Line Bet has been decided, you will lose your bet.
Don’t Pass Line Bets
A Don’t Pass Line Bet is placed on the Don’t Pass Bar before the Come Out roll. Here you are betting that a 7 will be rolled before the point. If you roll “Craps” (2 or 3), you will win. If the “Come Out” roll is a 12, the Don’t Pass Line will be a “Push” and you will not lose your bet. Here the round is lost if the “Come Out” roll is 7 or 11, and any other roll becomes the “Point”. Once the Point has been established, the Don’t Pass Line Bet will win if you roll a 7 before rolling the Point again. If the Point is rolled again before a 7, the bet is lost. Once the Point has been established, unresolved Don’t Pass Line Bets can be removed or reduced.
Come Bets
Come Bets can only be placed once the Point has been established by the Come Out Roll. “Come Bets” are made by placing your chips in the “Come” box. If your next roll is 7 or 11, you win 1:1 odds. If your next roll is 2, 3 or 12, it’s “Craps” and you lose the round. If 4, 5, 6, 8, 9 or 10 is rolled, it will become the “Come Point”. This is indicated by moving the “Come Bet” from the “COME” bar to the box with the same “Come Point” value. You win the bet if the “Come Point” is rolled again before a 7 is rolled. If a 7 is rolled first, you lose the bet. If you choose to close the game before the Come Bet has been decided you will lose your bet. The come bet pays 1:1 odds.
Don’t Come Bets
Don’t Come Bets are placed after the “Come Out” roll in the “Don’t Come Bar” area. If 3 or 2 is rolled, the “Don’t Come Bet” wins 1:1. If 7 or an 11 is rolled, the “Don’t Come Bet” will lose. If 12 is rolled, the bet will be a “Push” and returned to the player.
If the roll is 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, or 10, it will become the “Don’t Come Point” and the “Don’t Come” bet moves from the “Don’t come bar” to the bar in the upper left corner of the box matching the “Don’t come point”. “Don’t Come Bets” win 1:1 odds if 7 is rolled before the Don’t Come Point is rolled again and lose upon rolling the “Don’t Come” point.
Odds Bets
“Odds Bets” are backup bets for the following bets: “Pass”, “Don’t Pass”, “Come” and “Don’t Come”. The highest bet is triple your original bet. (This limit of the highest bet in all ‘Odds Bets’ differs from traditional Craps.) “Pass” and “Come” odds pay 2:1 upon rolling 4 or 10, 3:2 for 5 or 9 and 6:5 for 6 or 8. “Don’t pass” odds pay 1:2 upon rolling 4 or 10, 2:3 for 5 or 9, and 5:6 for 6 or 8. In this case, current “Odds Bets” can be removed from the table during play or they can also be increased or decreased.
Pass Line Odds Bets
If you have placed a Pass Line Bet and once the Point has been established, you may place a “Pass Line Odds Bet” by clicking on the empty area on the table below the “Pass Line Bet” area. The bet must be a maximum of 3 times the Pass Line Bet. Winning “Pass Line Odds Bets” pay odds of 2:1 when the point is 4 or 10, 3:2 when the point is 5 or 9 and 6:5 when the point is 6 or 8.
Don’t Pass Line Odds Bets
If you have placed a Don’t Pass Line Bet and once the Point has been established, you may place a “Don’t Pass Line Odds Bet” by clicking anywhere on the “Don’t Pass Bar” area. The bet must be a maximum of 3 times the Don’t Pass Line Bet. You win a Don’t Pass Line Odds Bet if you roll a 7 before rolling the point again. Winning “Don’t Pass Line Odds Bets” pay odds of 1:2 when the point is 4 or 10, 2:3 when the point is 5 or 9 and 5:6 when the point is 6 or 8.
Come Odds and Don’t Come Odds Bets
Once the Come Point has been established, “Come and Don’t Come Odds Bets” can be placed beneath your “Come” and “Don’t Come” bets within the box that corresponds to the Come Point. Winning “Come” odds bets pay 2:1 on a roll of 4 or 10, 3:2 on 5 or 9 and 6:5 on 6 or 8. You win a Don’t Come Odds Bet if you roll a 7 before rolling the point again. Winning “Don’t Come” odds bets pay 1:2 on a roll of 4 or 10, 2:3 on 5 or 9 and 5:6 on 6 or 8. It is also possible to place a ‘Come/Don’t Come Odds’ bet on a Come Out roll.
Field Bets
A “Field Bet” bets that the next roll will be 2, 3, 4, 9, 10, 11, or 12. Place a “Field Bet” by placing your chips on the Field bar. If 12 is rolled you get paid odds 3:1. If 2 is rolled you get paid odds 2:1. If 3, 4, 9, 10 or 11 is rolled you get paid odds of 1:1. The bet is lost if 5, 6, 7 or 8 is rolled.
Big 6 and Big 8 Bets
A Big 6 Bet and a Big 8 Bet is a bet that 6 or 8 respectively will be rolled before a 7. The bets are placed either in the 6 or 8 section in the left corner of the table. If the number you select is rolled before a 7, you win odds of 1:1.
Place Win Bets
“Place Win Bets” are won if you roll the number you bet on before a 7. To place the bet, chips are placed in the box below these numbers under the Buy box. The Place Win Bets are OFF during the come out roll.
To win well on craps, you must bet well. Our payout information below will help you to understand the odds that certain bets carry. Stick to betting on the smaller house edge bets, if you want to make cash.
Number: | Payouts: |
6 & 8 | 7:6 |
5 & 9 | 7:5 |
4 & 10 | 9:5 |
Some other bets you can place on the craps table include the following. Each bet has its own odds.
Place Lose Bets
With “Place Lose Bets” you are paid if a seven is rolled before the number you bet on. To place the bet, chips are placed in the box above these numbers under the Lay box. Place Lose Bets are ON during the come out roll.
Buy Bets
“Buy Bets” are the same as “Place Bet” with different payouts. “Buy Bets” are marked with a “BUY” label and are OFF during the “Come Out” roll. If you win this bet, a 5% commission is charged on the winnings of the odds, not on the return of the bet. For example, if you bet 1 and your payout is 1.20, your total win is 2.20. 5% commission is charged on the 1.20 payout which is 0.06. Therefore the total payout you receive will be 2.14. Winnings are paid at odds of 6:5 on 6 and 8, 3:2 on 5 and 9 and 2:1 on 4 and 10.
Lay Bets
“Lay Bets” are labelled with “LAY” and are the opposite of “Buy Bets”. This bets that 7 will be rolled before 4, 6, 8, 9, or 10. Lay Bets are ON during the come-out roll. If you win this bet, a 5% commission is charged on the winnings of the odds, not on the return of the bet. For example, if you bet 1 and your payout is 0.83, your total win is 1.83. 5% commission is charged on the 0.83 payout which is 0.04. Therefore the total payout you receive will be 1.79. Winnings are paid at odds of 5:6 on 6 and 8, 2:3 on 5 and 9 and 1:2 on 4 and 10.
Any 7 Bets
This bet pays 4:1. Place your chips in the area marked “Seven”, which bets that 7 will be rolled next.
Any Craps Bets
This bet pays 7:1. “Any Craps Bets” win if 2, 3 or 12 is rolled next. Click the letter C to place your bets in the “Any Craps” betting area or directly on the Any Craps area.
Any 11 Bets
This bet pays 15:1. Any 11 Bets win if 11 is rolled on the next roll of the dice. If an 11 isn’t rolled, you lose. Click the letter E to place your bets in the “Any 11” betting area.
Horn Bets
Place your chips in the box where the two dice add up to 2, 3, 11 or 12. You win if one of these numbers is rolled next. Winning “Horn Bets” pay 15:1 on 3 and 11 and 30:1 on 2 and 12.
Hard way Bets
A “Hardway Bet” is a bet that the shooter will roll either a 4, 6, 8, or 10 as doubles (2+2, 3+3, 4+4, or 5+5) before rolling a 7. The Hardway Bet is placed in the box on the Craps Table containing the two illustrated dice corresponding to the number. Rolling a number by doubles is said to be rolling the number “The Hard Way”. For example, a roll of 4+4 is called a “Hard 8”, while a roll of 5+3 or 6+2 is called an “Easy 8”. A winning Hardway Bet pays 8 for 1 on numbers 4 and 10 and 10 for 1 on numbers 6 and 8. If you roll an “Easy” before rolling a “Hard” you lose your bet. Unresolved Hardway Bets may be removed.
